Every year since 1949, May is considered the Mental Health Awareness Month. It is a good moment to take a mindful pause and critically assess your mental health and all the progress you have made in the last year.

Out of the 19 Guided Journaling programs offered in the Cubitoo Journal, we have selected our TOP3 favorites and one honorable mention for you to consider:

Number 3: Daily Gratitude


In the Daily Gratitude program, you will be asked to spend a moment each day to see all the good in your life — with these prompts you will be able to see through all the cruft and obstacles thrown by the daily life and notice little things that make it all worth living. Creating a moment of gratitude, even for the littlest things, is a powerful day to shift your perception and dramatically improve your mental health.

We recommend using this program at the end of your day, when you can spare a mindful minute or two, relax, and reminisce on everything that happened at your own pace.

Number 2: 7 Days of Mindfulness


In the focused 7 Days of Mindfulness program, you will learn how to approach mindfulness in a methodical and efficient way, since you cannot rush it. Over the course of 7 entires (usually done one per day) you will take a look at the inner workings of your mind and learn useful techniques to create the space for mindfulness and calm it brings into your dynamic and sometimes hectic day.

We recommend using this program earlier in the day, allowing yourself to practice the new ideas and concepts throught the day. Doing one entry per day will give you enough time to slowly ease into the mindfulness and all the beautiful benefits it provides: calm mind and expanded awareness. 

Honorable Mentions: Daily Affirmation


In the Daily Affirmation program, you will be delighted with beautiful affirmations about yourself each day. You may feel like your shine tarnished a little but the shine is there and you will embrace it again journaling each day with this program.

We recommend using this program early in the day, when your mind is still fresh and open after the night of sleep. This way, you will have that extra kick of positive energy to propell you into your day. 

Number 1: 7 Days of Self-Acceptance


If we had to point out just one program that everyone using the Cubitoo Journal should make, it's the 7 Days of Self-Acceptance — it's our flagship program that will tackle the most insidious threat to your mental health: your Inner Critic. This quiet voice at the back of your head (or in bad cases also standing in the front) telling you lies that you are "not enough", "not up to the task", or you "won't make it". Sometimes we are our worst enemy and this program is your first step into changing that.

We recommend using this program later in the day, when you have a calm moment to sit down, take a breath, and spend a minute really considering the prompts with open mind. Make yourself a cup of tea and spend some time making friends with the most important person in your life... you!
